Línea Anónima

The whistleblowing channel the law requires.

Línea Anónima gives your company one platform for receiving reports, managing each case and keeping the record that Spain's Ley 2/2023 requires, including anonymous reports and the legal deadlines.

Línea Anónima home page

What Ley 2/2023 asks of a company.

As summarized on Línea Anónima's own site.

Who must have a channel

Private companies with 50 or more workers, certain entities regardless of size, and political parties, unions, business organisations and linked foundations that receive or manage public funds.

Deadlines

Acknowledge receipt within 7 calendar days. Respond to the investigation within 3 months, extendable by another 3 months in especially complex cases.

Anonymity

The channel must accept anonymous reports and allow them to be followed up, and must protect the reporter's identity.

Línea Anónima is a technology tool, not legal advice. Your company remains responsible for complying with the law.

What the platform does.

Anonymous reports

Whoever reports can do so without identifying themselves.

Secure follow-up mailbox

The reporter can check the status of their case and answer questions without losing anonymity.

Written and voice channel

Reports in writing or by voice, plus a request for an in-person meeting within 7 days.

Case management

Every report becomes a case with its history, internal notes, documents and resolution.

Automatic legal deadlines

A countdown for the 7-day acknowledgement and the 3-month response, with alerts before they expire.

Logbook

A confidential record of reports received and investigations, ready to export.

Roles and permissions

Define who is in charge of the system and who else can see each case, with access tracked.

Access page with your brand

A public page that clearly identifies your company as the owner of the channel.

Security, as published.

Details come from each product's own published pages, which remain the authority and may be more current.

  • Data is hosted by Vultr in a data centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
  • Case reports, records and attachments are encrypted. Each case key is sealed with the organization's public key, so only authorized staff of that organization can decrypt the content.
  • Data in transit is protected with TLS 1.3, and encrypted case data stays encrypted in backups.
  • Access is role-based and access is logged. The audit log is protected by a hash chain, so any alteration can be detected.
